The second, dreamy electronica adventure from Norway's Current, aka Robert Solheim.
Robert Solheim, a self-taught musician, composer and dreamer since forever. Born on a small island on the west coast of Norway, he grew up between the sea, the mountains and the music; Both parents singing and/or playing an instrument. Not quite sure what instrument to play he started out learning the organ, then played drums in a band for a while and eventually fell in love with a synthesizer called Jupiter 8, moved into the world of electronics, and started to paint his own musical landscapes.
Since then he has released a few albums, the first 3 on the Norwegian label Origo Sound and the last ones on his own label CurrentMusik.
Now resident in Spain large portions of the tear, as well as working on several other projects like Aquavit (with Michael Snyder aka Eidetaker) and as a DJ, Robert Solheim continues to be one of the most exciting electronica artists from Norway.
Reviews extracts:
Phil Derby / Synhtmusicdirect: "...sounding somewhat like fellow Norwegian act Biosphere. There is an engaging playfulness and yet thoughtfulness throughout. No particular track stands out, but the sum is greater than the individual parts. Musik is a solid collection of very good melodic EM."
Bill Binkelmann / Wind & Wire: "Ambient, ambient-techno, dream-electro; Musik is a veritable glossary/textbook of any number of current-day executions of electronica/EM."
