Classic Jarre-style remixes, and contemporary techno reinventions of 27 Jean Michel Jarre favourites.
It is over 30 years since Jean Michel Jarre gave us his fresh breath of Oxygene, as he introduced a new concept to the music world. Jarre Forever is the first international tribute album made by fans of Jean Michel Jarre. From 14 countries, 23 musicians have recreated 28 Jarre tracks on two discs (plus one original composition), each reflecting their own personal musical style.
This album is not a traditional remix album, nor is it a compilation of cover versions, but it is a selection of tribute recordings. Each piece has been recorded with the added dimension of the personal interpretation from each musician, who was allowed the freedom to record the way they felt best paid as a tribute to Jarre. Remember, this is a recording by devotees, rather than hired hands, such as professional DJs or commissioned remixers.
A tribute album by fans, for fans.
Released September 7th 2002, the day of Jarre's Aero concert in the windmill park in Denmark.
The artists: Henrik Huste, SynthaxError, Digital Soul, Jupiter 8, Andrea Priora, Master Zap, Andy Vask'El, Intelligentsia, Steffen Schuhrke, Miguel Ettema and Stuart James, Villa Project, Craig Padilla, Min Gys, Daniel Kuciel, Raven, Rikard Latvala, Peter Holgersson, Björn Fogelberg, Thomas Enger, Bill Canty, Magnus Malmgren, Julien Alexandre, and Markku Klami.

Buyer feedback:
Good day, I have now received my copy and I am very pleased with it. The new versions sounds better than expected, not like some compilation crap. The CD also looks very good. Well worth the money. Roger Bergwall, Wellington
I've had my CD for a week or two now and its ace. Musical highlights include Zig Zag Dance (nice Mini Pops sounds!), Oxygene 6 (refreshing!) Calypso 2 (superb) and Equinoxe 7 (just listen to that classic bass line.) All in all, well worth the money. Superbly presented and no doubt highly collectable in future. Well done all. Andrew Laggan
Wonderfull CD! I didn´t expect there to be so much music and so great tracks! (more than 2½ hours). Before I got the cd I thought it was kind of expensive - but not anymore! It well worth every cent. All the best. P.S. I guess this cd will be worth a lot of money someday. Your 1.000 discs must run out soon ;) Mads from Denmark
This C.D created by the fans is far superior to any of the 'remix' albums that have been created before such as Jarremix and Odyssey through Oxygene. Well done on a project well carried out. Nicko, UK
Félicitation pour votre CD Jarre Forever. Les remix sont supers! (Révolution industielle, Chronologie 3, Equinoxe 7, etc). Bref du très bon travail :-) Bonne continuation! Alain (From France)
